Donald Joseph Qualls, better popularly known as DJ Qualls is an American actor producer and fashion model. Shooting to fame for his roles in Road Trip he has since appeared in over 20 feature films including The New Guy Hustle & Flow as well as The Core. Alongside his role in Road Trip, he's appeared in over 22 TV programs like Breaking Bad Supernatural Srubs Lost Law & Order etc. Qualls has fought Hodgkin's lymphoma since the age of 14 old. After two years of treatment his cancer went into remission. Treatment was carried out so quickly that it caused a serious effect on the body, and slowed his growth. When he began acting, financial security seemed to be his ultimate goal as his experience with poverty had been a part of his childhood. He said in an interview that he stated that if I don't achieve the financial security or feel out of control in the world, I'll feel miserable. Also, looking back to his own youth and his desire to make a difference in the issue of bullying. The cruelty inflicted on him is heartbreaking for him. He claims that his dream character would be dads in the real world and on film. But he admits Directors don't cast me in those roles. He would like to become the father of his child one day so he can devote more time to the child and not be so occupied with his work.
